Sriram Polytechnic College was established in the year 1984 at Perumalpattu Village in Tiruvallur District with approval of Government of Tamil Nadu in G.O.Ms.No.365 (Edn) Dated:29-04-1984 with an aim to help the down-trodden, minority telugu speaking people and to uplift the educational standard of the Village based populations.

Sriram Polytechnic College was started in the year 1984. It is the MOTHER OF ALL SRIRAM EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS. It offers 7 Diploma Courses and all the programs. This institution completed 30 years and now it is in pearl Jubilee year.
Sriram Polytechnic College is the temple of learning in this remote rural backward village (near Veppampattu Railway station, Perumalpattu, Thiruvallur District) benefiting thousands and thousands of students mostly coming from the economically poor and socially weaker sections of the society, also happened to be first generation learners.
This college believes that education does not end in a classroom. It is interested in the development of students who will play an important role in building a tradition that will endure through the years to come. The College enables the students to become ideal citizens realizing the responsibilities to execute their duties with utmost perfection.
